Mallika available at eateries in US !

Surprised ? Let me clear your doubts.

The Marilyn Monroe of Bollywood, Mallika Sherawat, has made her way hissing to the Hollywood. Presently, touring United States for the post production of her first Hollywood movie 'Hissss', Mallika is not just confined to her field. Rather she has been making a buzz all around Los Angeles and California.

Recently, a West Hollywood eatery, Millions of Milkshakes honoured this glamorous Bollywood celebrity by christening a milkshake on her name called 'Mallika Shake'. So how would you feel when the shake is being served by none other than the one who does not only shake milkshakes but the hearts of thousands of her admirers ?

In fact she is the first Bollywood celebrity who cannot only be appreciated through eyes but would also quench your thirst in real, by sharing the milkshake menu in the United States along with Hollywood personalities like Leonardo Di Caprio, Miley Cyrus, Perez Hilton, Kim
Kardashian etc.

In her debut Hollywood movie, after playing a small role in The Myth with Jackie Chan, Mallika plays the lead role of Nagin or serpent with co-actor Irrfan Khan of Slumdog Millionaire fame. Slated for the release in early 2010, 'Hissss' has been directed by Jennifer Lynch, which was shot in different Indian locations like Kerala, Chennai and Mumbai. So it is a good sign for the Indian industry that not only the Indian actors are being targeted by the Hollywood but Indian locations have also attracted them at the same time.

Great. Keep on shaking Mallika !

Putting the 'Honey' in your life in royal style

Tuesday, April 28, 2009

Hey ! You people would have heard about the weddings on cruise and in the air but how would you react if given a chance to tie the knot with your better half on a running train, that too in a royal style ?

Yeah, I am not joking. Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) in India has chalked out an enticing plan and is offering its two super luxury trains, Palace on Wheels and Royal Rajasthan on Wheels, on lease under the proposal christened 'Honeymoon on Wheels'.

As Rajasthan has the potential of attracting foreign nationals and Hollywood celebrities to celebrate their fig fat weddings and honeymoon trips here, the proposal aims at attending to the Hollywood personalities. In the past too, Rajasthan has attracted many Hollywood actors like Julia Roberts, Michael Douglas, Madonna, Nicole Kidman and Richard Gere.

These royal trains have been magnetising tourists from across the globe because of its matchless piece de resistance like super deluxe suites, deluxe saloons, restobars, international spa facilities, improved boardroom and internet facilities. The fact that Palace on Wheels, the luxury train where one can explore the historical destinations overwhelming one's senses like Jaipur, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Bharatpur and Agra, has already been booked till 2010, will really leave anyone surprised.

But if one yearn to relish the luxury and unique style, which only the Maharajas (Kings) of yesteryears fancied and enjoyed, be ready to shell out a sum of around 70 lakhs for a 4-day booking. There is also a special offer for the Hollywood actors of availing a discount of around 10 lakhs.

Though it would definitely be a unique experience to enjoy the repertoire of the luxury but it would have been a great allure, had it been able to suite the pockets of less privileged also.

Star-studded IPL searches for new stars

Sunday, April 26, 2009

Love it or loathe it, you can't ignore it. In contemporary cricket, glamour and play go hand in hand. If I quote a recent example of Indian Premiere League (IPL) tournament going on in South Africa, Miss Bollywood South Africa has drawn the attention of the spectators. Though I am not at all convinced by the selection procedure of the selectors, I hope there may be many agreeing with my opinion.

The connection and presence of the Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Shilpa Shetty and Preity Zinta has added spice to the IPL matches. Other than this the much talked about cheer leaders, who drew a controversy in the first season of IPL, are back with full enthusiasm entertaining the spectators. This event may be a matter of worry for some of the Bollywood entrants as the final lucky winner of Miss Bollywood SA contest would earn a role in a Bollywood movie, with none other than Shahrukh Khan.

In this mini beauty pageant,a total of 50 winners will be chosen from the crowds at every one of the eight venues hosting IPL matches. Winners of the venue will be shown on the big screen at every match during the second five-minute break. One finalist from each venue will be chosen, leaving eight winners for the final competition to be held along with the final match of IPL 2009 at The Wanderers in Johannesburg on 24 May 2009.

Though it may be a publicity stunt of the IPL hosts for attracting huge crowd at the venues, it will definitely be a golden opportunity for the newcomer. Because even the stars who have done a couple of movies in Bollywood see working with Badshah of Bollywood as a dream come true.

How can a person just visible in the crowd of cricket spectators have the qualities of becoming a star in any movie ? And even the selection procedure seems funny where fans from around the world can cast their vote through Internet or sms for their favourites to make her win.
